Jonah is 6 Months Old!

I can't believe it! I'm also going to say it - They grow up too fast! It feels like just yesterday I was going to the hospital for my induction and now my baby is half a year old. Now I know why you can't have just one. I am so in love with our little boy. He is such a happy baby! He laughs and giggles at everything and wants to feel and explore everything. He's also doing great with solids. He loves to eat! Jonah also gave mommy the greatest gift this week! He's been sleeping through the night for the past week! It's a good thing too because I go back to work at the end of the month! Here are some recent pictures of the Munchkin!

It's been a long long time!

I'm sorry I haven't updated in like a bazillion years. Things have been super crazy. Mo and I got engaged on June 11!!! Ever since that night I've been going like a madwoman trying to plan the wedding, lose the baby weight, job hunt, and take care of Jonah.

Jonah is getting SO big. He was around 17 lbs. 15 oz. and 24 in. long at his 4 month appointment! Talk about chunky monkey! I had to buy him 9 month clothes last weekend. I am so loving this age though. Jonah just coos and laughs all day long. Anything I do makes him laugh and that makes me feel special because I often don't find myself to be a very funny person lol. It's so crazy how I love him more and more each day. I constantly think of him when he's away from me and he's always on my mind. My world revolves around this little boy and I love it. We are so blessed to have such an amazing little boy!

I hope y'all don't mind but from now on this blog might be a little Jonah and a little bit about wedding planning lol. It's hard planning a wedding with a 5 month old. I definitely know now why marriage comes first! Ehhh...I never did anything in the correct order...I like to be different haha.

Jonah can finally hold his head up in the bumbo! I guess that means he's going to be ready for solids in a few weeks!

3 Months!!!!!!

Where has the time gone?  Jonah is already 3 months old.  It seems like just yesterday I brought him home from the hospital and now he is a chunky monkey.  Sometimes I feel like I will wake up tomorrow and he will be graduating from college or getting married.  That really makes me sad!  He is such a chunky monkey too!  I've had to pack up almost all his 3 month clothes except a few things.  It was like he just grew overnight last week! We moved him up to size 3 diapers and I had to run out the next day and get him some 6 month outfits!

While on one hand it is sad to see him grow up so fast on the other it's great!  He's laughing, smiling, and cooing up a storm every day! I love it! I just love the interaction especially when I can smile at him and he smiles back.  It makes me feel like I'm doing something right.  We've come a long way from a few months ago when I used to cry at the drop of a hat because I thought I wasn't doing anything right!  LOL.  I feel like last March was 2 years ago!  I can't wait to for the upcoming milestones and the joy they will bring us!  We are truly blessed!

The best thing I ever did was become a mom.

I absolutely love bathtime with my munchkin. He just loves splashing around and I love to play with his hair hehe :) My baby is the cutest especially naked!

To me and all those first time moms out there. As tired as I was when Jonah woke me up at 4 a.m. this morning, I couldn't give him enough kisses or hugs while he had his bottle. Man I am so in love with this little boy. Crazy, crazy, crazy kind of love....

As If I didn't already have enough nicknames for this kid I've added another one to the bunch....Jonah bear. This jacket was supposed to be part of his "going home" outfit but it was hot the day we went home. Thank goodness for this last cold snap so he could finally get one wear out of it :)

I had an amateur photoshoot with Jonah lol. I put him in his monogrammed diaper cover even though it is still a little big! Eventually I want professional pictures made of him in it. He's already a ladie's man...his daddy is so proud hehe :)

1 month checkup.

It's official. I have a little porker.  He's not my "little" boy anymore.  Jonah is weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs. 12 oz. and 21 in.  That may not seem big but let me remind you that only 2 short weeks ago he was only 6 lbs. 6oz. 19.5 in.  The Dr. said it seems the formula is working out great for Mr. Jonah! LOL.  

He also told me I should feed him less more often to help with him spitting up all the time. GREAT! He's eating every 2 hours now! I guess I will be feeding him every hour! He also got his little heel pricked and he didn't like that very much! That is one thing even Jonah won't sleep through!  I still can't believe he's getting so big so fast! It's so bittersweet :(

I have a sneaking suspicion...

That Jonah will be out of his newborn clothes by next week :( I already had to retire his Gerber newborn onesies but they run really small and short. Now his Carter's stuff is starting to be pulled and tugged letting me know they are getting to short. I can't believe my little 6 pounder is getting so big. I think I will cry when they tell me how much he weighs at his 1 month appt. Friday. I can already tell he's getting longer and chubbier!

Bath Time!

Tummy Time! Well more like back time!

I let Jonah explore his whale tummy time mat! He was on his tummy for like 2 seconds and then I decided he would enjoy it more on his back lol. I know it defeats the purpose but he was just laying there with his face in the mat and I thought he was going to suffocate if I left him there too long lol. He did seem to enjoy laying on it and looking around his room!
